I read the first book in this series around this time last year and enjoyed every bit of it. Ford is able to flip between tension and humor like that without losing any of the gravity of the situation. He does "marvel" humor right. The sequel does not stray far from what made the first book work either. It does not suffer from sequel-itis and continues to develop these intriguing characters. I'm excited to read the next in the series!

In typical foodie fashion, I went out to brunch the other day to a little Mom and Pop shop in the Columbia City district of Seattle. The interior was pleasant and the food was amazing. I had possibly the best biscuit I have ever had in my life.
